Haile King-Rubie, first developed his love for music, dance and the arts while attending the Learning Tree Preparatory School in New York City. Now an adult with special needs, he has become a highly regarded artist in his own right with awards and letters from former mayor Michael Bloomberg, Congressman Charles Rangel, NY State Senator Bill Perkins and other notable city officials, organizations and news/media outlets.
He has exhibited throughout New York City and has permanent installations of his artwork at Harlem River Park, Mount Sinai Hospital and the Hospital for Special Surgery.
