Def Dance Jam Workshop

Founded by Aziza in 1994, the Def Dance Jam Workshop (DDJW) program focuses on the process that each member undergoes in achieving his/her personal and academic goals.  It also illuminates the experiences and challenges that it's young artists grapple with, which in turn come to serve as the foundation for the company's original artisitic work and performance art.

Our mission is to empower “differently able” youth academically, culturally and artistically; to strengthen and restore families and communities; and to enhance the relationship between the “differently able” community and the “conventionally able” community as a whole.
